Was driving home and although I very rarely listen to the radio, I figured I’d give it a spin. This track started the instant I turned it up. I haven’t heard this tune in ages. Always thought it was a soulful groove monster. But something was different. This one seemed a little more rocking than the original Gary Wright version. I had no idea who it was. Burned me up the entire way home that I had not heard it before. Google awaits….
Turned out it’s the singer from Survivor doing the solo thing back in ’99. He also wrote and performed on the Baywatch theme song. Baywatch. Really….
